Hypocrisy, Thy Name is New York Times: ClimateGate vs. WikiLeaks
More genius work from the Fish-Wrap of Record…
When hacked emails began to appear on the web in 2009, suggesting that climate scientists at East Anglia had falsified global warming data, the New York Times refused to publish them. Why?
“The documents appear to have been acquired illegally and contain all manner of private information and statements that were never intended for the public eye, so they won’t be posted here.”
But on Sunday, the online site WikiLeaks unveiled hundreds of thousands of classified government documents, man of which represented potential threats to national security; the New York Times immediately published the information. Why?
“The Times believes that the documents serve an important public interest, illuminating the goals, successes, compromises and frustrations of American diplomacy in a way that other accounts cannot match.”

In addition, the department will work aggressively to process applications to build transmission lines to move the electricity produced by offshore wind farms to consumers, he said at a news briefing in Baltimore with officials from Maryland and Delaware.

Sore Union Losers at Delta Air Lines | RedState

As the only primarily union-free major airline Delta’s pilots are unionized, unions have long targeted the Atlanta-based carrier. However, now, with the National Mediation Board members being controlled by unions, as well as Delta’s recent merger with unionized Northwest Airlines, the unions have declared it open hunting season on Delta. So far, however, the unions have lost eight out of the eight elections they’ve called for—and now are going to rely on the union-controlled NMB to overturn the results so they can hold rerun elections.
Network Double Standard: Obama’s TSA Gropers vs. Bush’s NSA Eavesdroppers | NewsBusters.org

NBC’s Matt Lauer on Monday even sympathized with TSA Administrator John Pistole: “I hate to even think of what happens if the government caves in on this, and relaxes these procedures, and someone manages to get something on board a plane and causes harm. Imagine the questions youll be asked at that point.”
But that’s not the approach those networks took when it was the Bush administration taking steps to protect citizens against potential attack. Instead, as a 2006 analysis by the Media Research Center documented, the networks firmly aligned themselves with those who saw the Patriot Act and the electronic surveillance of international phone calls as a dire threat to civil liberties.
