Told You So: Obama to resume military trials for detainees at Guantánamo Bay – TheHill.com

When the least qualified President in history is confronted with the facts…

President Obama on Monday ordered that military commission trials be resumed at Guantánamo Bay.

The move represents a defeat for Obama, who pledged to close the terrorist detention facility in Cuba within one year of taking office. The president had hoped to hold trials in federal court for many of the detainees, but ran into stiff opposition from both parties.

The decision will be a disappointment for liberals already upset with Obama’s political compromises. That faction received a second blow Monday when Defense Secretary Robert Gates told The Associated Press that troops could remain in Afghanistan beyond the 2014 date previously embraced by the Obama administration.

The generation that will end abortion OneNewsNow.com

In the dark moments of our past, we have experienced the betrayal of those timeless principles by the self-serving interests of a few.  The same moral confusion that once paved the infamous Trail of Tears, supported the slave auction block and inspired the angry lynch mobs, now leads some to believe that they can choose to exterminate small, unplanned or inconvenient children.

So what convinces me that we are arriving at our most recent point of deliverance?  Several factors do.  First, we are finally beginning to address the real issue of whether the infant in the womb is human or not.  This has always been the only question that matters.

The End Is Near: U.K. Court Says Anti-Gay Couple Cant Be Foster Parents

A British court has ruled that a Christian couple can no longer care for foster children because of their opposition to homosexuality.

Eunice and Owen Johns provided foster care for nearly two dozen children in the 1990s — but after Great Britain instituted equality laws, they were banned from the program in 2007.

Social workers red-flagged the couple during an interview when they explained that they did not approve of homosexuality because of their Pentecostal faith.

Missing senators rely heavily on union campaign dollars – JSOnline

The 14 Wisconsin Democratic senators who fled to Illinois share more than just political sympathy with the public employees and unions targeted by Gov. Scott Walker’s budget-repair bill.

The Senate Democrats count on those in the public sector as a key funding source for their campaigns.

In fact, nearly one out of every five dollars raised by those Democratic senators in the past two election cycles came from public employees, such as teachers and firefighters, and their unions, a Journal Sentinel analysis of campaign records shows.
