For those not as well-versed in manipulation, the first sentence is meant to establish that, despite any reality that exists, the writer believes and hopes that Hillary Clinton will win the election, “all is well, she’s still safe”. The second sentence is meant to acknowledge some changes in the polls lest the Fishwrap of Record be seen as not having current information. The second sentence also adds a reference to the source of Hillary Clinton’s bane, as if to discredit or shame anyone who pays attention to the leaks. Now, an honest person without an agenda to promote Hillary Clinton would have written that paragraph as follows.

A conservative-leaning watchdog group sued the FBI Friday after the law enforcement agency ignored a Freedom of Information Act request for records related to the Hillary Clinton email investigation. Judicial Watch filed a FOIA on July 7 for documents that included all records related to the meeting between Attorney General Lynch and former President Bill Clinton on June 27, 2016. Bill Clinton and Lynch met privately on a Phoenix tarmac in the final days of the email probe after they said their jets unexpectedly landed near each other. While both parties claimed the meeting was purely social in nature, their visit sparked a fierce backlash among critics who accused Bill Clinton of attempting to tilt the outcome of the investigation in favor of his wife. Judicial Watch’s open records request also sought correspondence between FBI agents and the Democratic National Committee, the White House and Hillary Clinton’s campaign, if any exist.
