Activists Try to Get Kagan Disbarred | Mother Jones

Just as the full Senate this week starts debate over the nomination of Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court, a group of conservative activists is planning to ask that same court to disbar her. Larry Klayman, the famous Clinton tormentor and founder of Judicial Watch, told WorldNet Daily recently that he believes Kagan’s work behind the scenes during the Clinton administration on the partial-birth abortion ban constitutes a “conspiracy to defraud the Supreme Court” and that he intends to ask the court to revoke her license to practice law.

Klayman’s disbarment campaign is just the latest call from the right demanding a full investigation into Kagan’s work on the partial-birth abortion ban during her years working in the Clinton White House. The controversy began during her confirmation hearings last month when Shannen Coffin posted a story on the National Review’s website arguing that Kagan had been willing “to manipulate medical science to fit the Democratic Party’s political agenda on the hot-button issue of abortion.”

With Obama’s Help, Planned Parenthood Eugenics Extended to Kenya

The federal probe also found that the Kenyan constitution was not actually written by Kenyans, but by “U.S.-funded NGOs, working in concert with Planned Parenthood,” Smith said.

According to the Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s website, Planned Parenthood supports the Kenyan groups that wrote the abortion clause – the Kenyan Federation of Women Lawyers and its parent organization the Kenyan Reproductive Health and Rights Alliance.

Obama and Regime Now Pledge $197 Million Federal for Abortions

Yesterday, while I was on my way home from Honduras, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) was trying to cover its tracks on the $160 million taxpayer-funded abortion scheme in the Keystone state. The Obama administration barely had a chance to respond to those allegations before another shoe dropped–this time in New Mexico. The National Right to Life Committee (NRLC) had uncovered another money trail under the health care law–worth $37 million–in the Southwest. According to Douglas Johnson of NRLC, “The Department of Health and Human Services has been hiding most of these high-risk plans…. Of the four state plans we’ve managed to ferret out, two provided coverage of essentially all abortions.”

White House Backs Kenyan Constitution Allowing Abortion – FoxNews

The Obama administration is offering incentives to Kenya to approve a controversial new constitution that would legalize abortion for the first time, promising that passage will “allow money to flow” into the nation’s coffers, including U.S. aid.

But there’s a hitch to that pledge. A federal law known as the Siljander Amendment passed in 2006 makes it illegal for the U.S. government to lobby on abortion in other countries — and three U.S. lawmakers say they want a federal investigation into the promises made by the administration.

Chuck Schumer openly wants Obamacare to Fund Abortions

Thank you for your letter opposing the inclusion of abortion coverage in the upcoming health care reform package.

As the father of two daughters, I share your deep respect for the sanctity of life and realize the importance of honoring one’s moral and religious heritage. I also value the freedom of all American citizens to base their personal choices on their own values and moral convictions. I also support measures that aim to reduce the number of abortions, and I believe that education and prevention are critical to achieving that.

The decision to have an abortion will never be an easy one, nor should it be. While I believe that every woman should have the right to make her own decision, in counsel with her physician, family, and religious adviser, I also believe that funding programs that aim to reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies is essential.

Thank you for contacting me on this important issue. Please do not hesitate to contact me in the future if I can ever be of assistance to you on this or any other matter.

Sincerely,

Charles E. Schumer
United States Senator

Abortion: Obama’s Fabrications | FactCheck.org

Senate legislation would allow a new “public” insurance plan to cover abortions, despite language added to the House bill that technically forbids using public funds to pay for them. Obama has said in the past that “reproductive services” would be covered by his public plan, so it’s likely that any new federal insurance plan would cover abortion unless Congress expressly prohibits that. Low- and moderate-income persons who would choose the “public plan” would qualify for federal subsidies to purchase it. Private plans that cover abortion also could be purchased with the help of federal subsidies. Therefore, we judge that the president goes too far when he calls the statements that government would be funding abortions “fabrications.”
